A public meeting will be conducted for the purpose of informing citizens of the Hondius Water System located in Larimer County and soliciting public input, written or oral, regarding a plan to replace the existing Hondius water distribution system with a new system capable of providing water from the Town of Estes Park on a year-round basis. The plan could also include non-Hondius users in the High Drive area in close proximity to the line, who would like to be included in the project.
The discussion will include an update regarding the plan to obtain funding through the Town of Estes Park from the USDA, the proposed replacement system, an estimate of the costs involved, and the plan to finance the improvements with the loan to be repaid over a forty year period. A meeting of the current Hondius Water Users Association (HWUA) members from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. will precede the public meeting to commence at approximately 4 p.m. The meetings will be held in the Town’s Board Room at the Town facilities in downtown Estes Park between the library and Bond Park.
