A homeowners meeting was held at the Estes Park Museum on August 16, 2014 to discuss the project and to vote on whether to move forward.
The meeting was attended by approximately 60 Hondius water users. Also in attendance were Jeff Boles, Town of Estes Park Water Superintendent, and Rod Harr, Senior Civil Engineer of Landmark Engineering. Ed Schemm, Larimer County Assistant Director of Environmental Health, was unable to attend, but provided a summary of the process of obtaining funding from the Drinking Water Revolving Fund, which was provided to those in attendance.
This process was discussed with Jeff Boles providing input from the Town’s point of view and Rod Harr providing the engineering perspective, including the process for preparation of the preliminary engineering study.
After discussion, explanation and a question and answer session, the group voted unanimously to proceed with the preliminary engineering study and a committee was established to assist with monitoring the process of the project. The committee members are:
