Previous Meeting Minutes.

The Committee approved the minutes from the February meeting. Jim will forward for posting onto the website.

Update on Project Timing and Process.

Jim reported he’s been in touch with our Larimer County representative this week. The County representative reported progress in working through the changes implemented by the state for projects such as ours. As a result, the County believes that they are now in sync with the State for our project and will continue work on the Request For Proposal, which had been put on hold pending obtaining a full understanding of the changes to the State’s process. The State’s new process will require another meeting that will require a representative from our group to meet the State and County. The County representative will let us know when this meeting will be scheduled. Jim will let the committee know when he gets an RFP draft so it can be commented on.

The County representative had also been in contact with Jim regarding questions of the locations of the Hondius water holding facility in the National Park and the point of connection of the Hondius system to the Town of Estes Park’s water system. The map the County representative supplied appeared to provide the correct location of the water holding facility in the Park; however, the location of the connection with the Town appeared near the National Park greeting center and Jim and Tim thought the connection was on Larkspur and had responded in that manner. The Committee discussed this matter and suggested that the Town of Estes Park be contacted (by the County) to verify the location of the water connection with the Town.

Hondius Water Users Map Update.

The Engineer that had the map information and was to provide copies to us had sent several electronic documents to Jim and Tim and Jim will pass on copies of the map to the group once he has a chance to go through the emails

Other Topics.

a. State and Federal income tax returns were prepared and mailed by Jim for the entity that had to be established to hold the cash collected from the Hondius Water Users Group for the preliminary engineering study. No income tax was due from the entity.

b. There is a prospective new owner of a property on the Hondius system that contacted the County regarding the water system. The County forwarded the email to Jim, who will contact the individual.

Closing.

Next Meeting: April 2nd, 6:00 p.m. Mountain / 7 p.m. Central.
